Rig Manager

Our clients requires a Rig Manager for a permanent position. Applicants must have jack-up experience. 


Responsabilities
  • The Rig Manager’s accountability and responsibility is a key element of our Health and Safety Framework. To achieve our Zero Incidents, Zero Harm core value, leaders and employees across our entire organization must take accountability for health and safety.
  • To actively embrace and participate in the Company’s Behavior Based safety management tool i.e. (Dupont STOP) program.
  • Liaise with VP Operations to ensure conformance with the Company management system as it relates to rig operations and performance.
  • Is responsible for the fulfillment of contract obligations as defined in the present contract, seeking clarification from Company and Client before obligating company resources.
  • Attends daily operations meetings with the Client and Client Contractors as required.
  • Provides direction and leadership in training and competence assurance (i.e. STEP program).
  • Collects and assembles technical information necessary to support execution of the Clients’ well programs.
  • Offers operational advice concerning the Clients’ well program, rig capabilities and good oilfield practices as a concerned drilling contractor.
  • Works with and supports QHSE in the development of bridging documents applicable to current contract.
  • Identifies and provides recommendations for securing local service providers in support of shore base activities, rig operations and QHSE Management System requirements including Waste Management and Emergency Response support.
  • Ensure the interface of all shore based emergency response resources including those of the client operator in development of the shore based emergency response team.
  • Periodically tests the preparedness of Shore Base Emergency Response support facilities and resources, including those of the Client Operator during offshore Emergency Response Exercises.
  • Prepares and submits operating budgets for the rig and shore base in a timely manner as well as tracks rig and shore base expenditure according to the budget.
  • Monitors rig performance as regards to operational, QHSE and financial indicators, and is responsible for supporting and initiating plans and programs intended to improve rig performance. 
  • Supports the Technical Support and Modification Request (TMSR) process, monitoring and expediting the review, approval, execution and closeout functions of the process.
  • Supports the Equipment Failure and Non Compliance reporting process monitoring resolution and inclusion of lessons learned in the AMOS maintenance system when applicable.
Requirements
 
  • Proven track record of managing a safe operation.
  • Previous experience as a Rig Manager or Rig Superintendent.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of structured management systems as it relates ofshore contract drilling.

QHSE Manager

Responsabilities

  • Participate in the COMAPANY Executive management team providing direction and stewardship of the Company.
  • Report directly and provide support to COMAPANY’s Executive Vice President in the day to day management and long range stewardship of the Company.
  • Liaise the communication with COMAPANY and its assets & offices in respect of QHSE Management
  • Support the President in communications and liaison with COMAPANY’s individual rig Owners.
  • As a member of the management team, manage the development and maintenance of COMAPANY’s business processes and management system in relation to the execution of the Company’s business.
  • Overall responsible for the integrity of the COMAPANY IMS. Organize to develop and maintain the COMAPANY IMS as third party certified system according to international standards.
  • Be responsible for the QHSE performance of MOC in COMAPANY.
  • Instruct, supervise and be overall responsible for the performance of HSE & Risk Management in COMAPANY.
  • Review and approve policies, processes and procedures that promote HSE and Risk management in COMAPANY.
  • To lead, support and guide HSE team in relation to auditing activities.
  • To initiate all offshore and onshore audit requirements of IMS and certification standards.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of Quality function to ensure resources adequate for workloads.
  • Advise / update the VP and President of resourcing requirements to support the business objectives and KPI’s and provide business continuity as the company expands.
  • Developing, promoting and communicating quality achievement and performance improvement goals and objectives throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with HR department to review CV’s and conduct interviews with prospective Quality resources.
  • Develop and manage a corporate internal audit program.
  • Manage the Company audit database and ensure all actions are entered in a timely fashion and tracked to completion.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an annual quality plan of the Quality objectives for the respective year.
  • Develop and produce a monthly Quality report which as a minimum must cover, IMS compliance and QA / QC activities, KPI compliance progress and ensure it is reported in a timely fashion to VP and President to allow review and submission to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain an annual QHSE audit schedule to include as a minimum, IMS compliance and supplier audit.
  • Conducting gap analysis with existing policies / procedures to identify areas for improvement in quality management.
  • Development and communication of new policies and procedures to address areas for improvement in quality management
  • Liaise closely and interface with relevant departmental heads where required to deliver business objectives and KPI’s.
  • Lead, liaise with, and provide regular support where required to Rig Management teams in relation to Quality issues.
  • Lead development and assist President in the delivery of the annual IMS management review process and meetings.
  • Liaise closely with certification bodies and logistical teams to help facilitate and organize IMS Surveillance or IMS certification audits.
  • Organize and/or participate in incident investigation depending on the nature and severity of the incident to ensure a full and thorough investigation process and reporting, follow up the implementation of the COMAPANY where relevant and requested.
  • Support Marketing in communicating COMAPANY’s safety and environmental initiatives and completion of prequalification and tender proposals.
  • Provide direction to the Company’s training needs.
  • Manage COMAPANY’s QHSE and operational performance metrics.
  • Manage internal and external communications pertaining to safety and environmental aspects of COMAPANY’s operations.
  • Work with field management to seek out and standardize on best practices throughout world-wide drilling operations.
  • Liaise with international regulatory agencies pertaining to COMAPANY’s operations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of line management’s QHSE efforts; review document levels 1,2 & 3 Policies & Procedures providing advice where improvement can be made.
  • Ensure independent audit of the company’s QHSE Policies and Procedures is carried out to verify compliance.
  • Regularly visit operating areas to evaluate QHSE standards and culture. Keep Vice President advised of any problem areas where intervention is deemed necessary.
  • Represent the Company at Client, Industry and Regulatory meetings and conferences.
  • Provide custodianship of the electronic quality management system, ensuring that all systems operate in accordance with requirements.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in QHSE or Operations preferably with 5 years managerial position and hands-on experience in managing offshore Drilling operations
  • Previous experience with management system development and international quality standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting Quality system audits against relevant standards.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of QHSE Auditors.
  • Extensive working knowledge in the implementation and management and auditing of management systems.
  • Excellent understanding of the English language, i.e. ability to communicate effectively,verbally, reading and writing.
  • Ability to respect the cultural challenges and differences experienced in a multi-cultural and multi-national work environment.
  • Strong organizational, presentation and analytical and report writing skills.
  • Must have good inter-personal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management.

ROV Support Engineer - Perm Opportunity

Our client are looking for an ROV Support Engineer on a permanent contract based in Aberdeen.


You must have the following experience:

·       Previous offshore experience with ROV systems/operations.

·  Good communication skills, ability to communicate with  several departments to coordinate ROV support.

·   Ability to specify, select and order mechanical, hydraulic or electrical equipment for offshore use.

·  University, College or Industry education and/or training in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.


Responsibilities:

·  Process received offshore MRs and assist with expediting as required.

·   Assist in sourcing new ROV parts, provide clarification on part queries.

·  Implement and organise any approved modification to the ROV system, ensuring all changes are fully documented and included in the manual as per Quality Procedures.

·   Create specifications for purchasing new ROV equipment.

· Assist with recording statistics on ROV reliability, by subsystems.

·  Monitor maintenance logs, collate information for analysis, MTBF, etc.

·  Assist with monitoring cost of ROVs R & M, including cost sheets.

·     Monitor receipt of ROV technical reports.

·     Conduct ROV System audits including checking inventories.

·      Assist with refurbishment or ROV equipment.

·      Second source suppliers of ROV spares and equipment.

·   Prepare operational procedures relevant to ROV operations on Saipem managed vessels and assist Sonsub Division Project Engineers in preparing ROV Procedures for Sonsub Division projects.

·    Process received Project ROV equipment MRs and assist with expediting as required.

·    Ensure all ROV spares and related equipment shipments are dealt with in line with planned schedule and to minimise possible interruption of the operational activities.

·  Distribute received offshore paperwork to the applicable departments.

·  Perform acceptance inspections before mobilisation of any vehicle (ROV/Trencher) and / or ROV related equipment supplies to the project.  Request demobilisation reports for applicable equipment.

·   Verify that offshore ROV personnel assigned to the project are fit for purpose.  Identify any potential problems with allocated resources or planned crew changes and report to Project Manager/ROV Personnel Supervisor.

·   Provide ROV technical support to the Commercial Department when required.

·  To be conversant with all ROV items and conditions of the Project both technically and commercially and to have a full understanding of the scope of work related in individual projects.

·  Assist in the implementation, control and monitoring of overall Safety and Quality Assurance in all ROV Project related activities as laid down in the Company’s Safety Quality Manuals and Procedures.

·  Assist in the preparation and maintenance of budgets for Projects in relation to ROV services and associated equipment.

·  Assist the Project Manager in ensuring that the Cost Controller is provided with timely adequate financial information in relation to ROV services.

·   Encourage any technical developments or suggestions that will enhance the overall Project or Operational efficiency.

·   Assist in ensuring that all ROV related aspects of Project Administration, Engineering and Operations fulfil the Contract requirements and are conducted in a safe, efficient and profitable manner.

·    Participate in the off duty rota.

·    Vessel visits / system audits as required.

·    Promote safe working practices.

·   Train, mentor and/or guide ROV offshore personnel in their area of expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • The ROV Pilot Technician has the primary responsibility for the piloting of the ROV, maintenance and repair of the ROV system, implementation and monitoring of technical procedures and reporting, work management and execution of ROV operational tasks. 
  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced with the ROV control, navigational and propulsion systems.
  • Assist in the Launch and Recovery of the ROV System.
